SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 24, 2019-- Visa (NYSE:V) today announced a new offer from Yelp (NYSE: Yelp) to bring exclusive advertising benefits to U.S. small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that use a Visa Business credit or debit card to purchase Yelp Ads. This offer can help SMB owners maximize the value they get from being a Visa Business cardholder and advertising on Yelp. All U.S. Visa Business cardholders that enroll in the offer and spend a minimum of $150 per month on Yelp Ads will receive an additional $50 toward Yelp Ads each month (up to $600 annually) to help grow their business.

As a market leader in payments in the U.S. SMB segment, Visa provides a full suite of payment services designed to help SMBs pay and get paid, including Visa Business credit and debit cards, business reporting, payment controls and Visa SavingsEdge. This Yelp offer enables more SMBs to expand their advertising to help attract and retain customers, a top challenge for 39 percent of SMBs working to expand their business1. Ranked as the number one review site by consumers looking for local businesses, Yelp connects millions of SMBs with potential customers2.

“Small businesses are at the center of our local communities and global economies and we are delighted to work with Yelp to offer this benefit to U.S. Visa Business cardholders that will help increase their reach online,” said David Simon, global head of small and medium enterprises, Visa Business Solutions, Visa. “We are committed to helping businesses thrive and expand their purchasing power through Visa’s fast, convenient and secure digital payment options.”

“Hundreds of thousands of small businesses advertise on Yelp annually to amplify their online presence and increase opportunities to connect with potential customers,” said Chad Richard senior vice president, business and corporate development, Yelp. "Small business owners are constantly looking to grow their customer base and we are excited to team up with Visa to help small businesses thrive.”

To take advantage of the offer, new and existing Yelp SMB customers simply enroll using the pre-populated “VISAEXTRA50” promo code, pay with a Visa Business credit or debit card and spend at least $150 each month to earn an additional $50 of Yelp Ads.
